Builder
Builder is an online, server-based content management system, which has been developed to simplify the updating, publishing and management of large web sites by non-technical staff.
The assistance of IT staff is not required once the site has been initially set up, and an ongoing reliance on an Internet agency is reduced dramatically.
Builder separates content management from design management - hence empowering approved individuals to add content to a site without needing to be concerned with design. Site content is driven from SQL databases, with consistency of design style being guaranteed by the use of customer-specific templates. And, because there is no need to understand or learn HTML, anyone capable of using a web browser can use Builder.
Builder is suitable for Internet, Intranet and Extranet web sites; the only requirement for use is access to the World Wide Web. Workstation installation is not required, and Builder is compatible with all major web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
Builder provides an ideal working environment for online editors, allowing remote staff to both produce and/or translate content, with guaranteed presentation in the approved brand/corporate identity. Being 100% browser based, Builder offers anytime-anywhere project development. There is no client-side installation. Any XHTML-compliant browser, with any operating system, is all that is required. Builder supports multiple concurrent language versions of a website and can support many concurrent users and an unlimited number of web pages, thereby allowing for collaborative work on large-scale sites.
Builder uses a meta-language to produce output such as HTML, XML, WML, RSS etc, thus producing a site that can be presented across all current and future browers, on all devices and platforms.
